Upper Normandy alone accounts for 50% of the world’s production of quality flax fibers, with the prime growing region spanning from Calvados to Nord Pas-de-Calais. In these regions, the flax plant can be grown without irrigation, leaving the land healthy and vibrant.

The fashion industry is currently witnessing a rise in the popularity of slow fashion, sustainable clothing, and the resurgence of natural fibers. As this trend gains further momentum in the years ahead, linen emerges as a star component perfectly suited to meet this growing demand.
Flax is one of the world's most ecological fibers and our fabrics are sustainable and certified class 2 by Oeko-Tex. Moreover, our collection of organic linen is GOTS-certified from field to fabric.
We believe clothing can be both stylish and environmentally conscious, good for the body as well as good for the planet. Organic linen is part of that project.
Not only can the flax plant be grown without irrigation or harsh fertilizers, but it may also be processed (or “retted”) mechanically. This avoids the use of toxic chemicals. Once flax is harvested, farmers use alternating rain and sunshine on the dried plant to break down natural pectins. This allows the fibers to be worked free, and to eventually become thread and then cloth.
Due to the fabric’s durability, linen clothes can be worn for decades. This creates less waste and less stress on the ecosystem. Where cheaper clothing ends up in a landfill after a season, linen clothes pass from owner to owner, standing the test of time.
Furthermore, linen does not require dry cleaning. This sturdy fabric benefits from wash and wear. It only becomes softer over time, while losing none of its beauty.
